HALOTHERAPY

Tranquility Salt Cave is your sacred space. It is where you come when you want to unplug from the craziness of life.  Relax.... Just Breathe!

Salt therapy (Halotherapy) provides many healing benefits to the human body.

The salt cave is lined with over 10,000 pounds of Himalayan rock salt boulders, and granulated Himalayan salt rests on the heated floor of the cave.

The Himalayan rock salt is millions of years old and it contains over 84 trace minerals that are readily absorbed by the human body.

As pure salt is diffused into the salt cave, the healing begins.  Negative ions are released into the air, helping to promote calmness and toxins begin to be removed from the air which you breathe.

The salt is anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory begins to clear clogged mucous and debris from the lungs.  Skin conditions may even improve after repeated salt sessions.

NATURE'S MEDICINE

According to the Salt Therapy Association, the benefits of salt therapy were first discovered in 1843 in Poland, where workers in underground salt mines suffered fewer respiratory issues. By chiseling and grinding the salt, the miners produced micro-sized particles of salt that were dispersed into the air of the mine and then inhaled.

Upon studying the effects of this phenomenon, Dr. Feliks Boczkowski, who was not only a great doctor but also a very smart business man, founded and opened the first health resort facility at the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Poland in 1839. He offered salt baths by utilizing natural brine from underground and mentioned in his book, that staying underground can be even more effective in asthma treatment than medical inhalations.

HOW IT WORKS

As the salt travels in the salt room, these salt particles of dry sodium chloride are inhaled into the respiratory system. The dry salt naturally starts absorbing allergens, toxins and foreign substances into your lungs and throughout your respiratory tract. Dry salt may help to reduce inflammation and open airway passages. The micro-sized crystal structure of pure NaCl particles breaks loose and clears out all of the ‘bad stuff’. This is the basis for how dry salt therapy can impact people suffering from respiratory conditions like allergies, asthma, bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, COPD and others.
