Musical Meditation at Tranquility Salt Cave

Music is known as the universal language. It's the language of love, spiritual devotion, and healing that has been expressed by people of every culture since the first cavemen learned to beat a drum and sing a song.

I taught my first workshop at Rootwire festival in 2011 entitled the Yoga of Sound which explored the use of sound healing, chanting, chakra balancing, and kirtan through various world cultures like traditional Indian mantras as well as the South American Andean Quechua traditions.

At this point, I’ve led hundreds of musical meditation workshops and Tranquility Salt Cave is one of my favorite environments in which to enjoy this deeply healing experience. You get to lay back and relax in the zero gravity chairs while bathing in the rainbow light of million-year old pink Himalayan sea salt boulders and crystals from the heated floor crystals to the walls to the ceiling, sparkling like stars as though you were on a beach on Mars. Halotherapy also involves diffusion of medical grade salt and oxygen into the air providing relief for breathing conditions, increased healing and well-being.

This delicious evening of sound healing will include an introductory chakra balancing meditation for intention setting followed by a series of devotional songs, some with mantras, others in the Native American medicine tradition honoring the elements of nature and the Mother Earth.

I provide an immersive gong bath and play medicine songs on flute, guitar, handpan, drums, didgeridoo and more as well as optional reiki to allow deep healing on every level.
